Water Supply Project (Al-Saqya)
Project Description: A humanitarian project aimed at providing clean and safe drinking water regularly to families affected by displacement and water scarcity, through urgent and sustainable solutions that contribute to saving lives, improving public health, and reducing diseases related to water contamination.
Impact: Providing potable water for use in the most needy areas. Access to clean water reduces the incidence of diarrheal diseases, cholera, and other waterborne illnesses that disproportionately affect children. It also saves women and girls countless hours previously spent collecting water from distant or unsafe sources, allowing them to pursue education, work, or caregiving activities. Sustainable water points also reduce conflicts over scarce resources in displacement-affected communities.
